I have always loved working with house designs, improving homes, building custom ideas, and working with measurements that are a little different. 
I enjoy working with customers who are excited about what they desire for their home.

I value working with a builder that helps them bring their plans into reality. What I love most about my work is figuring out the most straight forward process for my customer's unique ideas. 
We bring together trades people who naturally feel connected to the intention for the design, its standard for excellence, fit and finish.

I went to school for construction in The Netherlands and started working in 2001. I worked in commercial construction until I moved to Canada in 2010 when I started framing residential for a company.

After getting myself familiar with the Canadian construction world, I started Kievit Residential Renovations. 
As a designer, builder, I listen to you to be able to think alongside your ideas, budget to bring your plans for your house to life in a way that makes you feel grateful for your home.

Kievit is the Dutch translation for the bird ‘Northern Lapwing’. There are a lot of these birds on the islands of The Netherlands where I would go on summer holidays as a kid.

This bird is beautiful and reminds me of relaxing good times in Nature, in a good atmosphere, with also beautiful old architecture.  That choosing to bring joy to what you do, is a choice you make, choosing to bring joy helps you show up being yourself, bringing your gifts, your natural passion for excellent to the work you do.
